Current Setup: Multiplex Funcub Turnigy 3530 1000kv Eflite 30 amp esc 2200 and 2100 mah batteries
This setup is great and gives you plenty of power to go vertical for a decent amount of time. I have not installed the flaps yet because i personally feel the cub is extremely manageable. I am now awaiting the Turnigy 3536 1400kv to go along with a CC Thunderbird 54 amp ESC. The reason i am upgrading to this setup is because i loved strapping my 808 #16 hd camera to the FC so much i just purchased a GoPro white. Although this is a more powerful setup i may be adding too much weight. Any advice out there?.

My planes have heavy Turnigy 3542 motors and heavy 4 cell batteries. They have bass wood glued into the bottom of the fuselage for the heavy articulated landing gear to mount to and more bass wood glued into the rear of fuselage for a stronger and heavier tailwheel modification, then some more bass wood glued into each side of the fuselage and into the bottom of each side of the wing for the aluminum struts to mount to. The planes set up this way are almost 4 pounds without the 4 cell battery. The planes still fly great and land pretty slow even being heavy. I don't think your FC will be bothered by the extra weight. I'm building another one that will even be heavier because its getting the same set up as the others plus a wooden structure to beef up the front of the fuselage and motor mount.

Both of mine run the Turnegy 3536 1050kv through a 45A ESC and 3S and 12x6 APC props. For how I fly, that plenty enough of everything, and according to my little gps thingy, consistent 96km/h top speed and 10 safe flight time on a 2200.
