We built our Fun Cub with the Fun Cub Parts lite power pac, initially installed the 12 X 6 prop, worked great, very fast, but as beginners our instructor decided that it was to fast for us, and he installed an 11 X 3/8 on it. We have been using that prop now for almost a month, it works very good, but as beginners you can safely assume we have nothing to compare it to. That said, especially during landing practice when things have gone afoul 2 feet off the deck, our instructor has been able to power the Cub out of trouble with much power and save the day, even in very strong wind, common here in Coos Bay. Being 11", it gives 1 inch more ground clearance than the 13 X 4. That also being said I really want to try the 13 X 4, our new Cub is being built with the standard power pac, (from Fun Cub Parts, not Multiplex) and my intention is to put the 13 X 4 on it. We shall see what happens as things unfold.

I'm building my Fun Cub with the multiplex power set. The prop supplied is a 13x4 but I'm going to try a 12x6 for a little more ground clearance. It'll be interesting to see if there is any noticeable difference.

Kate, I think you will notice the 12x6 gives the FunCub a higher top speed, but less climb performance on takeoff/ slow speeds. If Landing Products would make a 12x4 and 11x4 APC prop, I'd stock them all! More especially, a 12x3 would be fantastic! Perhaps I will convince them... - Jesse
